![]() ![]() I’m sure no one else is more disappointed in them than they are knowing very well that as much as they feel driven today they are probably really nervous about failing and, maybe, again…ĭo as you please but I encourage everyone to encourage those resolutioners if ever the opportunity pops up or, at the very least, don’t say anything if what you feel like saying is negative and discouraging. There’s a BIG difference between wanting something and actually doing everything in your power to get it. Which is why most start on the fitness journey and end up quitting weeks later…year after year. Most think it’s purely a getting motivated thing rather than a discipline and consistency thing. What I hear? I need help!!! Most don’t ask for it or even know they need to. I get it, sometimes, all you hear is blab la bla. To get healthy (ier), to lose weight, gain muscle mass, start working out… I totally understand the dislike of temporarily overloaded gyms in January and all the ‘New Year, New Me’ posts but at the end of the day each individual person has something in common with us…they ‘want’ to better themselves. Remember weight loss is not always the motivation for fitness, and is not always the right answer.Īs a trainer and coach that’s main objective is to help people feel great about themselves while looking great I find it so interesting how so many in the fitness community hate on the resolutioners.Please keep disparaging remarks about your body (including before photos) or others' bodies to a minimum.Be respectful of others on the subreddit, and please report comments that violate the rules for review.Here are some hints to make your stay enjoyable: The moderators also do private form checks should you feel uncomfortable about posting a public video. For now gyms (with proper protocols in place) are open in our area: if someone is finally trying to put their health first- and of course can do so as safely as possible- I think rather than rolling our eyes, we should encourage them to keep going. One thing I think we can all agree on is that last year was rough, and I’m fully anticipating that we experience a lot more turbulence before we can get to any kind of smooth sailing in 2021. I’m pretty sure I’m just repeating my self, but my hope is that especially this year, you are a little more compassionate than usual with these resolutioners. ![]() whatever it is that they are doing, in hopes to meet their New Year’s resolution to go to the gym more.
